The Software Developer II will develop, create, maintain and modify computer applications and specialized programs within the Oracle eBusiness suite, supporting corporate and off-site application users. The successful candidate will work independently to analyze and design databases and coordinate application development that supports the department goals; while creating a best-in-class operation meeting or exceeding business objectives in a team first environment.
Requirements

Essential Duties

 

  • Procedure use and adherence, of all documented procedures related to approved project requests, including but not limited to all requirements to gather, design, test, implement and support initiatives
  • Provide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system administration support for all business departments as needed, i.e. password changes, configuration changes, adding capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Oracle support to resolve production issues within ERP system.
  • Provide daytime and on-call support as required.
  • Effectively train business personnel on changes made through project requests.
  • Modify existing software to correct any errors.
  • Develop and direct software testing, validation processes, programming and record keeping.
  • Analyze system users’ needs and software requirements to determine adequacy of design, considering time and budget constraints.
  • Store, retrieve and manipulate data for system requirements analysis.
  • Assist in coordinating software system installation and monitor performance of installed reports as required.
  • Provide back up to Personal Computer (PC) Support team:
    1. On call assistance for PC related issues as needed.
    2. Assist with maintenance as identified.
  • Coordinate and maintain open communication between all stakeholders, ensure all aspects of projects are clearly articulated and impacts to customers and departments realized.

    Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Programming with 3+ years’ computer programming experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledgeable and experience with the following:
    • Creating Procedural Language/Structured Query Language (PL/SQL) queries, stored procedures, triggers and functions within an Oracle relational database structure.
    • Manufacturing environment uses and administration of Oracle eBusiness.
    • N-Tier (multi-tier) architectures and design concepts, leading a team in the design and development of such applications.
    • Effectively apply computer programming and systems analysis knowledge to determine cause and effect to system operation.
  • Ability to effectively analyze, interface and facilitate concepts with stakeholders/customers, must be able to lead through influence and interpersonal communication, recognize problems and respond appropriately to resolve issues through deductive and inductive reasoning to form rules or conclusions related to support issues.
  • Ability to effectively prepare and manage a budget; prioritize, organize and delegate assignments as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications; exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to work with “team first” approach.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to arrive at best solution.
  • Work independently with minimal direction and supervision.
