The Business Analyst is responsible to work closely with the Forecasting and Sales Team to provide analytical data supporting the Sales and Operations Planning process; leveraging all data available including AC Nielsen, International Research Institute (IRI) Data Library accompanied by internal sales tools designed to improve sales team performance and scorecard metrics.  


The successful candidate will demonstrate a high level of analytical thinking to meet and or exceed our Sales Teams expectations, ensuring the department and business objectives are met and delivered in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.  This position is located in Minneapolis.


Essential Duties


  • Utilize AC Nielsen, IRI, and other applicable data to analyze competitive and consumer trends, emerging opportunities, and fully understanding the competitive market to better position our products in the marketplace.
  • Conduct new item performance reviews, deliver findings and recommendations to the Sales Teams.
  • Conduct promotional program evaluations, deliver findings and recommendations to the account team and customer.
  • Partner with demand planning and the account team to monitor inventory and off-take levels, make recommendations on period and promotional forecasts.
  • Build collaborative, cross functional relationships to function in a high performing team environment.
  • Prepare and deliver regular scorecard to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide support to Business Sales Analyst and Sales Organization as needed with items such as ad-hoc reporting and analysis. 
  • Serve as expert on product portfolio.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 1 – 3 years’ experience in sales or business analyst role; or equivalent combination of education and experience (may include internship experience in similar roles).
  • Experience utilizing and interpreting AC Nielsen and IRI data, preferred.
  • Proficient Computer and IT Skills; spreadsheet and word processing programs.
  • Detail oriented, with excellent verbal and written communications; exceptional interpersonal and collaborative ability to work in a “team first” approach environment.
  • Thrive in a fast paced, multitasking environment.
  • Reports To:  Business Analytics Manager
