The On-Premise Purveyor (OPP) is responsible for driving volume growth, awareness and most importantly distribution and visibility of portfolio in assigned territory. The successful candidate will lead the effort by driving distribution, helping develop cocktail menus, providing educational awareness and developing programs for some of the most superb restaurants and bars in the country. This position will represent, sell and promote Phillips brands to the trade and consumers by developing a strong partnership within the distributor network and regional accounts.
Requirements

Essential Duties

Territory Account Management

  • Targets the top on-premise accounts within territory.
  • Develops direct relationships with stakeholders within assigned territory.
  • Schedules and executes partnering opportunities with local distributor sales reps to drive Phillips brands.
  • Seeks opportunities to expand Phillips brand awareness, visibility, and distribution to drive sales of key brands in the assigned market via
    • Developing target account of list bars, restaurants and hotels
    • Attend and present at distributor sales meetings and events
    • Implement promotional opportunities via Menu Lists and Drink Features
    • Facilitate special events within the assigned account list/market
    • Schedule and conduct impactful tastings and seminars
    • Follow up to ensure activations are fully executed as planned.

Brand Building

  • Partners with Phillips Marketing and Trade Marketing Departments to assist with the planning and execution of creative, local and national events to increase the presence and visibility of all brands.
  • Offer and schedule tasting events, menu and cocktail creations.
  • Monitor and report competitive supplier or other volume increasing activity in assigned territory accounts as a means to improve future Phillips brand promotions and strategies.
  • Work within guidelines defined by Phillips Marketing and Branding teams to increase brand awareness through social media and social networking sites.
  • Work with distributor mixologists on market and brand specific cocktails that drive usage and visibility.

Distributor Management

  • Coordinate the execution of orders and agreed to programs in assigned territory as defined by the goals and business objectives outlined by the Phillips Sales Management Team aligning with Distributor Sales and On-Premise teams.
  • Work with Distributor network sales people to drive distribution, awareness and trial for priority brands in assigned territory.
  • Facilitate periodic informational meetings with Distributor On-Premise Sales Teams to educate and inform about Phillips programs and initiatives.
  • Facilitates and manages distribution execution against national account compliance on premise.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three plus years of related experience in the beverage alcohol industry, Bartender experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills that allow for interpretation of budgetary management and reporting of budget spend.
  • Accurate and timely reporting of metrics meeting reporting requirements as directed by Regional Sales Manager.
  • Up to 75% travel within assigned geographic area, occasional evening and weekend work attending events as required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong sales/marketing/promotional skill set.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; exceptional interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to work with “team first” approach.
  • Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including E-Mail, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
