Description Seeking an organized and helpful individual with a passion for improving the lives of children and families for a full-time Office Assistant position at our Busy Bee Children’s Center in Waukegan, Illinois.

JOB SUMMARY

The Office Assistant will perform administrative and reception duties, including but not limited to:
◾Processing applications for the State of Illinois Child Care Assistance Program.
◾Providing information and assistance to center visitors in a courteous manner.
◾Communicating professionally with families, visitors, staff and vendors in person and via email and telephone.
◾Organizing files, managing database, and preparing correspondence.
Requirements Education

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years professional experience as an office assistant or receptionist and 1 year of experience with State of Illinois Child Care Assistance Program.

Required Skills
◾Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
◾Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
◾Ability to maintain confidential information and materials
◾Ability to stay current on developments in early learning and business fields to enhance professional growth
◾Must be able to develop a professional and positive relationship with diverse groups, including, but not limited to families, colleagues and public
◾Must be detail-oriented and have superior organizational skills
◾Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
◾Familiarity with state DHS computer system a plus
