JOB SUMMARY The Food Service Worker will assist with the food service program by: ◾Providing children with clean and comfortable surroundings and maintaining and sanitizing kitchen and storage areas. ◾Planning and distributing monthly menus and consulting with dietician or nurse on nutrition and special diets. ◾Preparing appetizing and nutritional meals in accordance with agency policies and state guidelines. ◾Estimating food consumption, requisitioning purchases, and maintaining adequate food and kitchen supplies. ◾Assisting in classrooms with daily activities, if needed. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Education High School Diploma or equivalent required. Experience A minimum of 2 years professional experience working in food preparation or service.
