Description The Senior Design & Creative Services Specialist is responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the design, development and production of all marketing materials for the company, as well as updating web and social media content.

Essential Duties:

• Manages creative projects from concept to completion, translating marketing objectives into creative strategies and recommending the appropriate deliverables based upon effectiveness, cost and other criteria

• Works closely with NCIRE researchers, NCIRE management and administrative staff to assess client needs and ensure products meet customer requirements

• Produces all NCIRE research posters for Principal Investigators and/or their staff preparing to attend scientific meetings/conferences

• Creates, designs, and organizes graphics that visually communicate data consistent with the company identity

• Designs and oversees the production of printed materials including resource books, brochures, manuals, annual reports, flyers, and newsletters

• Works with vendors to coordinate media projects, develops and maintains the NCIRE internet and intranet web sites

• Advanced understanding of typography and color usage

• Operates Macintosh and Windows workstations, HP DesignJet large format printers, and other publication quality color printers

• Responsible for the Medical Media departmental VA and NCIRE billing reports

• Performs related duties and responsibilities as needed and assigned

Requirements • 5+ years of experience as a Sr. Graphic Designer with broad knowledge of marketing collateral and other materials

• Proven skills to serve as project manager for multi-disciplinary project teams tasked with marketing deliverables (i.e. website or annual report)

• Graphic design and visual composition skills and experience

• Proven ability to design, develop and optimize graphic content & media for the internet and intranet

• Proficiency in using Adobe Create Suite, MS Office and Dreamweaver software applications

• Ability to work with diverse clientele, including biomedical researchers, medical center clinical staff, and administrative personnel

• Superior written and oral communications skills

• Ability to collaborate with others and work within a team environment

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proven ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in fast paced environment

• Willingness and ability to acquire additional technical knowledge required to perform essential job functions.
