Summary
This position is located at our Bienville House Hotel. 

Night Auditor records the monetary transactions of the Bienville House hotel. 

Essential Functions
To perform the BH – Night Auditor position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•  Submit and verify credit card charge transactions

•  Audit cashier reports to verify balances

•  Post data and balance accounts

•  Compile collection, disbursement and bank reconciliation reports

•  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required for an individual to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the BH – Night Auditor position:

Language Ability
•  Effectively communicate and interact in English with people from diverse backgrounds

•  Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos

•  Write simple correspondence

•  Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel

Math Ability
•  Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

•  Compute rate, ratio and percent

•  Draw and interpret bar graphs

Reasoning Ability
•  Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

•  Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Computer Skills
•  Working knowledge utilizing a word processing software preferably Microsoft Word

•  Working knowledge utilizing a spreadsheet software preferably Microsoft Excel

•  Working knowledge utilizing Accounting software

•  Working knowledge utilizing internet software

•  Working knowledge utilizing Opera PMS database software

Work Environment
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate

•  The position is located in an office setting where the temperature settings are  controlled

Physical Demands
•  Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

•  Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

•  Close vision and the ability to adjust focus

•  Regularly sit, use hands to fingers, handle or feel and talk or hear

•  Frequently walk and reach with hands and arms

•  Occasionally stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

Position Status and Availability
•  A full-time, overnight (PM to AM) shift, including weekends and holidays

Education and Experience
•  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

•  One (1) year customer service experience

•  One (1) year front desk, cash handling or bookkeeping experience
