Summary
The Criollo Runner provides food to guests in an efficient, courteous and accurate manner and has an acute knowledge of a dish ingredients, preparation and presentation.  The Criollo Runner has a positive attitude and a courteous demeanor with customers.  A Criollo Runner must have a clean and presentable appearance, be able to work well with others and help with other responsibilities as needed in order to maintain an environment of teamwork.

To perform the Criollo Runner position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities of the Criollo Runner position are as follow:

•  Deliver food to guests from kitchen ensuring the food is delivered
Prompt, correct and of the proper temperature

•  Clean and set tables to restaurant standards 

•  Deposit dishes appropriately in specified area 

•  Stock expeditor stations  

•  Clean stations to include sweeping and emptying of trash containers regularly

•  Assist other restaurant associates with tasks when necessary

•  Be a team player attitude in order to serve as many customers as possible

•  Ability to deal with customer complaints

•  Demonstrate efficiency, be detail-oriented, courteous and attentive to cleanliness

•  Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required for an individual to successfully perform the duties and responsibility of the Criollo Runner position: 

•  Regularly lift and/or move up to 10/25 pounds

•  Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

•  Regularly stand, walk, reach and hold and balance trays

•  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
 
•  Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to customers, clients and other associates of the hotel

•  Ability to deal with standardized situations 

•  Ability to make decision in a time pressured environment

•  Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure
 
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Criollo Runner position:

•  100% of the time walking around or standing

•  100% of the time reaching, bending, lifting, etc.

•  Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and push around 50 lbs

 •  Must safely navigate multiple flights of stairs

Certification and Licenses
The individual selected for the Criollo Runner position must possess a valid Louisiana Responsible Vendor’s Permit or the ability to attend a Responsible Vendor’s class and pass the test with a score of 90% or better.

Position Status and Availability
The individual selected for the Criollo Runner position must be available to work a full-time, flexible (AM or PM) shift, Monday - Sunday including holidays.

Education and Experience
The individual selected for the Criollo Runner position must possess:

•  A high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

•  Have at least two (2) years server experience in an upscale restaurant
