Venenum Biodesign LLC, is dedicated to the discovery and identification of novel small molecule therapeutic products.

Venenum is looking for a motivated individual to work as a Research Associate in our Medicinal Chemistry Department. This medicinal chemist will participate in a multi-discipline team within Venenum and will assist/support multiple research projects focusing on hit to lead and lead optimization against novel drug targets.  Additionally, this organic chemist will be involved in library synthesis of compounds to be included in Venenum’s compound collection.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Synthetic/Organic Chemistry with 3 years of experience or M.S. in Synthetic/Organic Chemistry with 2 years of experience in an industrial drug discovery project required.
• Hands-on experience in multi-step organic synthesis, purification, and structural characterization is required.
• Familiarity with modern chromatographic techniques, including flash chromatography, preparative scale HPLC, and LCMS is required.
• Experience in parallel synthesis or solid phase chemistry a plus.
