The CORE Institute's fellowship-trained physicians provide specialized care in the areas of surgical, non-surgical and rehabilitative hip, knee, shoulder, elbow and ankle procedures, joint replacement, sports medicine, arthroscopy, fracture management, orthopedic traumatology, hand and wrist procedures, complex articular cartilage restoration, musculoskeletal oncology, foot and ankle reconstruction, physical medicine and rehabilitation, comprehensive spine care, pain management, clinical neurophysiology, epilepsy, headache and facial pain, neuromuscular medicine, spine and peripheral nerve disease, clinical neuroimmunology, multiple sclerosis, and general neurology care.

As The CORE Institute continues to grow, we are currently seeking a full-time Physician Liason to join our team of professionals at our Arizona location.

General Statement of Duties:

Responsible for promoting The CORE Institute among members of the medical community in order to establish partnerships and affiliations, as well as consistent referral patterns. Executes the preparation of presentations and/or speeches geared toward the community.

Essential Functions:

  • Establishes and maintains effective communication with the Marketing and Communications Department, physicians, subordinates, and other departments as required.

  • Visits primary care physicians, specialist, and other patient referral sources in the community at least 24 hours per week (including luncheons).

  • Maintains and updates The CORE Institute’s physician and patient referral programs such as the OrthoFax system. Works with the Vice President of Contact Center to ensure smooth receipt and scheduling of physician referred patients.

  • Assists in the development and execution of internal and external special events.

  • Assists in the development and execution of The CORE Institute physician lecture program to enhance community education and foster positive relations between The CORE Institute and the greater community.
  • Executes lectures and presentations in designated territory.

  • Promotes the organization among members of the medical community in order to establish partnerships and affiliations, as well as consistent referral patterns.

  • Meets or exceeds physician relations goals.

  • Maintains quarterly inventory and minutes for designated subcommittees and utilizes template design for special events on a case-by-case basis.

    The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.

  • Requirements


    0-2 years of experience in the field or related area. Must be able to communicate effectively with physicians, payers, patients and the public and be capable of establishing good working relationships with both internal and external customers.


    Requires a bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or equivalent.
