Connect America is looking for Collections Representatives to research and solve payment discrepancies; confer with customers by telephone to determine reasons for overdue payments and review terms of sale, service or credit contracts.

• Contact active clients on delinquent payments
• Collect on aging buckets from 15 to over 120 days past due
• Process payments and record payment arrangements
• Provide high quality customer service regarding collection issues
• Process and review account adjustments and resolve client discrepancies
• Report daily tracking of phone and mail payments collected
• Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts
• Accountable for reducing delinquencies for assigned accounts
• Must communicate and follow-up with department manager on a timely basis
• Required to meet monthly assigned goals
• Perform other assigned duties and tasks necessary to support the Collections Department

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Good knowledge of debt collections, basic math and computer skills
• High level customer service skills
• Ability to explain financial matters firmly and clearly, to use good negotiating skills, and to communicate in an assertive but tactful manner when necessary
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to set goals and meet deadlines and to exhibit calmness under pressure
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time while ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail
• Understand quality standards for work and represent company in a positive light
• Must successfully pass drug and criminal background checks
