CompSource Mutual is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional for the position of End User Technician. This position will be responsible for helping to maintain company PCs, printers, servers, and related equipment. Tasks include end user support, hardware tracking, and coordinating PC maintenance, upgrades, configurations, etc.

FLSA Classification:  Non-Exempt 
Reports to: IT Supervisor
Supervisory Duties: No

Accountabilities

  • Provides a full range of on-site, desk side and remote end user support primarily in an office automation, office systems operating environment, telecommunications and network support environment.
  • Provides technical support by identifying, analyzing and resolving user issues.
  • Primarily focuses on understanding the issue to be resolved and solves disruptions/problems within the defined scope of standards and protocols. 
  • Field and log incoming requests to the Service Desk via walk-ins, telephone, email and service request application submissions to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
  • Troubleshoot and correct end user hardware, software, network issues.
  • Escalate issues as necessary to upper level IT End User Support.
  • Track and alert management to emerging incident trends.
  • Assist with defining and documenting knowledge base.
  • Access software updates, active projects, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources to assist in problem resolution.
  • Perform post-resolution follow-up for help requests.
  • Assist in general PC/network administration and support
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or closely related field preferred
  • 2 years working with or administering commercial service desk ticketing software such as ServiceNow, JIRA, Heat or Zendesk. 
  • 2 years IT desktop support, network, server and business application administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager deploying software, desktop image builds and configuration preferred.

Other Requirements:

This position requires the physical ability to perform extensive repetitive motions in using a computer and the routine use of other office equipment.  Work is typically performed while sitting and does not require heavy lifting.  Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. Salary is commensurate with experience.
