Reports to: Director, Claims

Position Summary: This role is directly responsible for all efforts in recovering costs paid on behalf of injured workers which are as a direct result of a third party’s negligence in total, or, in part. Employee assigned to this role has mastered legal concepts of third party liability and work with outside legal experts to achieve optimal results annually. Reporting of successful recovery is provided as requested.


  • Provide oversight and instruction to subrogation team while maintaining statutory standards.
  • Attend legal proceedings as warranted and as directed by claims administration with proper preparation and attention to all facets of the issues in dispute.
  • Prepare and report subrogation efforts to claims administration monthly or as assigned.
  • Achieve $2M net recovery by way of dollars recovered and/or reserves reduced for calendar year through timely reporting and documentation of decisions.
  • Assure that all aspects of recovery process are communicated on a monthly basis to claims administration. Provide documentation in support of the claims department to assure that medical bill payment reimbursement is properly tracked and re-allocated to the appropriate claim files.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Active Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Adjusters License required ( multi-line license to include workers' compensation adjusting proficiency) 
  • 5 years of commercial or general liability claims handling experience with an emphasis on subrogation required
  • 2 years of experience in a supervisory role preferred 

Other Requirements

This position requires the physical ability to perform extensive repetitive motions in using a computer and the routine use of other office equipment. Work is typically performed while sitting and does not require heave lifting. Must be willing and able to perform all job-related travel. Salary is commensurate with experience.
