Description GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Configuration Analyst I plans and conducts a wide range of quality control tests and analyses to ensure all application products and services meet organizational standards and end-user requirements. This includes performing test planning, test design and test execution. In addition to DASS responsibilities, the role will also configure business rules, workflows, forms and user interfaces to support business processes as defined below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administration Items
• Prepares requirements documentation for system modifications.
• Provides support for system users with their application production.
• Conducts testing of configuration changes done by other Analysts and facilitates user acceptance testing for system modifications.
• Interacting with Forms group on requirements for New Business forms on EOE systems.
• Supporting production EOE systems for problem resolution.
• Supporting distributor data needs and setup of new distributors on EOE Systems.
• Configuring products and funds on EOE Systems.
• Supporting production data problems reported by our distributors or New Business area.
• Implementation of forms changes
• EOE System updates
• Provides weekly status reports of ongoing and future projects
• Log hours and update project testing status in WorkFront

Testing Items

• Tests projects requiring the least complex knowledge and experience
• May support more senior analysts with testing on more complex projects
• Analyzes and reviews requirements and technical work products
• Defines test plan and results
• Executes unit testing for EOE platform changes.
• Utilizes qTest and qTest eXplorer to create tests, execute them and log defects
• Designs test scenarios, scripts and data and executes manual or automated scripts
• Validates test results and records and researches defects
• Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution

Support Items

• Assists user departments with basic questions
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A.A) in Business or Finance or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Comprehensive knowledge of annuity principles and products.
• Knowledge of principles of superior customer service.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations regarding annuities and insurance.
• Knowledge of computer applications and software, including LifePRO and Microsoft Office Products.
• 1-3 years’ experience with XML and SQL
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and positive attitude
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines on multiple projects
• Analytical ability and inquisitiveness
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to build relationships within the immediate team
• Presentation skills
• Basic understanding of enterprise systems.
• Basic understanding and ability to apply analysis techniques
• Attention to detail and drive to produce results ability to multitask
• Must be an independent worker and critical thinker
• Understanding of DTCC Files
• Understanding of ACORD, XML, Firelight, RepPro, Ebix and Affirm platforms, VTXML tool

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
