General Description of Duties: Under the direction of the Program Manager, in cooperation with the Program Coordinator, the Site Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the kitchen, supervises agency staff and adheres to policy and procedures for each of their designated area sites. Responsibilities include assisting with completing performance evaluations, initiating disciplinary actions, provides training and guidance. Investigates and resolves complaints between staff, seniors, APS referrals and Community members and advises the Program Manager of issues, and maintains confidentiality with matters of privacy. Will ensure that congregate meals, and home delivered meals, are provided, and ensure that homebound meals are delivered promptly. Monitor and maintain records for various meal programs, vehicle inspections, mileage, fuel, staff time sheets, end of month food inventory, monthly site reviews, monthly kitchen inspections, attendance of seniors, passengers, visitors, reconcile daily cash count, and submits all reports related to the operations of the staff and center and in a timely manner. Performs administrative and office duties to include answering phones, and greeting visitors.
Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. One year experience in food preparation is required. Bilingual capacity is required; English and Spanish. Basic computer skills, including experience working with Microsoft Office including word processing and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel etc.). Must have strong organizational, written, problem solving, verbal communication and time management skills. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, with internal and external customers of Adelante. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors and co-workers. Have the ability to maintain harmonious, courteous, and considerate relationships, while fostering a collaborative teamwork environment with both agency employees and the public.
Other Requirements: Must pass background/fingerprint investigation and pre-employment drug screening. Must possess a valid NM driver’s license, and proof of auto liability insurance. Must have own reliable transportation and agency insurable driving record. Must be able to sit, perform keyboarding functions continually. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder(s) frequently. May be required to visit various locations in order to carry out the essential job duties.
