General Description of Duties
Serves as a Customer Service Representative in assisting guests with room assignments and various needs they may have during their stay. Performs any combination of the following duties for guests of the facility: makes and confirms room reservations; registers and assigns rooms; issues and receives room keys; date stamps sorts and racks incoming mail and messages; receives and transmits messages; answers inquiries pertaining to establishment services, shopping, dining, entertainment and travel directions; keeps records of room availability and guests’ accounts; computes bill, collects payment and makes change for guests; may post charges such as room, food, or telephone expenses to account books; may make restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations and arrange for tours.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred. Computer experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and one (1) year general work experience required. Experience as a desk clerk in a hotel, motel or other lodging facility, and three (3) years general work experience preferred. Have the ability to read and write English in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, supervisors, co-workers, and customers. Bi-lingual preferred. Experience working with adults with disabilities preferred
Must pass a drug screening and a government background check. Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods. Must be able to squat, reach above shoulder(s), kneel, push, pull and lift 25 lbs. frequently. Must be able to crawl, climb 5 ft., crouch, and balance and carry occasionally. Must be able to meet and greet the public with professionalism and excellent customer service. Must be able to work a rotating shift schedule to include all shifts. Adelante is a drug free workplace.
